NewSTEPs Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) In-Person Meeting February, 2014: CCHD Screening in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - New Jersey's Experience

Ms. Grazel spoke about the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience in New Jersey during the NewSTEPs Critical Congenital Heart Disease (CCHD) in-person meeting in 2014. Of 84 NICU infants who did not pass the pulse oximetry, 64 fit into one of the three categories of a prenatal diagnosis, signs/symptoms at time of screen, or a cardiac consult/echocardiogram had been done. The remaining 20 did not fit into these categories and 11 had no known reason for a failed screen.
