Public Perceptions of the Benefits and Risks of Newborn Screening (NBS)

This article identifies public perceptions of the benefits and risks of newborn screening (NBS). To assess how the varied outcomes of NBS are valued independently and relative to others, the authors conduct a stated preference discrete choice experiment (DCE) to engage members of the public about the types of diseases they would recommend be screened for in newborns.
