Informing Children of Their Newborn Screening (NBS) Carrier Result for Sickle Cell or Cystic Fibrosis (CF)

The Journal of Genetic Counseling recently published an article that examines how parents intend to communicate newborn screening (NBS) carrier results for cystic fibrosis (CF) and sickle cell disease to their children. The study also identifies ways that health providers may assist in supporting and guiding parents through this process.
