Newborn Screening by Tandem Mass Spectrometry (MS/MS): A Hands-On Course in Understanding Laboratory Issues and Interpreting Test Results

The NBS Tandem Mass Spectrometry Workshop is a five-day intensive workshop and is co-sponsored by the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The course will be held at the Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch Laboratories at CDC in Atlanta, GA from Monday May 2 to Friday May 6, 2016. The course will feature MS/MS hands-on exercises designed to enhance understanding of the didactic portions of the workshop. The exercises will cover routine MS/MS newborn screening tests as well as second tier testing using MS/MS methods applicable to the modern newborn screening system.

APHL will cover travel, per diem and accommodations for laboratory workshop participants. To apply for this course, please complete the application form.
